Republican presidential power rankings, April edition

In 15 months, Republicans will gather in Cleveland to nominate their next presidential candidate.

Here’s one safe prediction: It won’t be the one who’s actually already campaigned in Cleveland.

No, we’re not talking about Ohio Gov. John Kasich. Former IRS commissioner Mark Everson, a declared candidate who has a provocative proposal to eliminate the federal income tax, recently headlined at the City Club of Cleveland. But Everson is not showing up in the polls – he’s not even being offered as a choice in the polls.

So, no, Everson did not crack this, the inaugural Northeast Ohio Media Group power rankings of GOP presidential prospects.
